Undoubtably fluorite may be in my top 3 crystals of all time, and theres good reason for it! It is a gorgeous stone known for its vibrant and incredible range of colours. Whether you are seeking balance, organisation or a deeper spiritual connection, fluorite really is that girl!
Fluorite’s Metaphysical Properties
Think of fluorite as your personal motivator, helping you stay on task and narrow your focus to what truly matters. I personally love to keep a fluorite sphere on my work desk to increase productivity! Fluorite is a great stabiliser that works with both the mind and spirit, known for its ability to clear mental fog, enhance concentration and bring a bit of order amongst chaos. It is also an incredible stone for creatives! It is said to connect to both the Ajna (third eye) chakra and the Anahata (heart) chakra.
Fluorite’s Physical Properties
Fluorite is a calcium fluorite, part of the Halides family, with the chemical composition of CaF₂. They are found in cubes and octahedra, and form in hydrothermal veins, pegmatite cavities, sedimentary rocks and in hot-spring areas. It is a common mineral found worldwide, most notably in Canada, the US, South Africa, Mexico, China and the UK. Fluorite has the biggest range of colour of any mineral, ranging from colourless, white, purple, green, yellow, blue and even pink. Its most desirable combination known as ‘rainbow fluorite’ is a beautiful combination of colours, most often green and purple. Some fluorite minerals are also UV reactive.

Caring for Your Fluorite
Fluorite is a relatively soft mineral, ranking a 4 on the Mohs hardness scale, this should be taken into consideration when looking after your mineral. Avoid prolonged exposure to water or salt. Instead, opt for smoke cleansing, sound healing or moonlight charging.
